Dear valued tenants and residents,
Melrose Arch, together with Wannado events, will be hosting The Melrose Mile Decathlon, taking place within the precinct at 6pm, on Thursday, 19 September 2024. This will impact the flow of traffic, which is illustrated on the attached map.
Please note, that in a concerted effort to create a seamless experience, the following road closures will take place on Thursday, 19 September 2024 :
* From 11am
* Whiteley Road, between Melrose Boulevard and High Street, will be closed to all traffic until midnight.
* Access control measures will be put in place at the Whiteley Road gate, but there will be limited access to the following businesses:
* Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch and Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Johannesburg Melrose Arch guests
* Daytona customers
* One on Whiteley residents and/or deliveries
* MMI customers
* The Grind Coffee Company and Arch Cycles - Melrose customers (until 4pm)
* From 5pm until midnight
* Crescent Drive between Melrose Boulevard and Oak Lane will be closed to all traffic.
* Parking entrance 2 will be completely closed off, from Basement 2 all the way to Crescent Drive.
* Melrose Boulevard’s northbound lane will be closed between High Street and Crescent Drive.
* Melrose Boulevard’s southbound lane between Crescent Drive and High Street will be split into two lanes, in order to accommodate both northbound and westbound traffic.
* Oak Lane’s southbound lane between Crescent Drive and Old House Lane will be closed, but the northbound lane will be open to traffic.
* Old House Lane between Oak Lane and High Street will be split into two lanes, to accommodate both vehicles and participants of The Melrose Mile Decathlon.
* Access and egress to the African Pride Melrose Arch, Autograph Collection®, as well as residential access and egress will be controlled from the boom situated at Tiger’s Milk.
In addition, there will be security personnel stationed at the various road closure access points to assist with traffic control.
We appreciate your support and cooperation during this time, as we take on hosting The Melrose Mile Decathlon in the precinct, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
