COVID-19 - Moving to Level 2/ Older Persons Residential Facility - Section 58 (f)

Following the e-mail communication sent out earlier this week, the Department of Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs published the Regulations under Level 2 of the National Lockdown declared in terms of the Disaster Management Act 57 of 2002.

In terms of Section 58 the said Regulations, visits by members of the public to older persons' facilities remain prohibited - see below extract in this regard:

In view of the fact that our industry is heavily regulated and that Evergreen Lifestyle Villages fall under "Older persons' residential facility, 58 (f), we have to adhere and enforce the above noted Regulations.

Accordingly, all protocols as set out in earlier communication around visitors to the village will be revoked, effective immediately.

Compassionate visitations by a member of the public will be considered, please discuss with the Village Manager to make these arrangements.

We apologise for any confusion caused and trust that you will be guided accordingly.
