We wish a Happy Birthday on 1st March to Laubie Walters (Unit 64); 2nd March - Vivienne Docherty (Unit 58) and 3rd March - Sheila Kirkwood (Unit 30), Carmen Garizio  (Unit 55) and Derek Bond-Smith (Unit 46)

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 26 February will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving Cape Malay Chicken Curry served with yellow rice and Sambals OR Roast Pork with apple & cider, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.. This will be followed with Sweet Melon & Ice cream with vanilla syrup. R140pp. We kindly request that you book with reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 25 February at 12-noon. Please pay for your dinner at reception by no later than Tuesday lunchtime. You are very welcome to bring your own refreshments.

Unique Health Wellness Day  -  a free health screening test can be done for the following: blood pressure, oxygen saturation test, rapid cholesterol test and Blood glucose.  Staff Nurse Zuko Mkalipi and Sister Mercia Jay are in attendance to carry out the test and will be available to discuss any other health questions you may have. Please make an appointment on Wednesday 27 February between 9am and 3pm. We encourage you to take advantage of the offer. Please call the clinic on Ext 206 to make the appointment.

“Finding your  Feet” – our Movie Night will be held on Saturday, 2 March at  7pm. When "Lady" Sandra Abbott (Imelda Staunton) discovers that her husband of 40 years is having an affair with her best friend, she seeks refuge in London with her estranged, older sister Bif (Celia Imrie). The two could not be more different - Sandra is a fish out of water next to her outspoken, serial dating, free-spirited sibling. But different is just what Sandra needs at the moment, and she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to a community dance class, where she starts finding her feet.

The construction team will proceed with work behind the temporary fence created at Unit 65 to facilitate building of the access/exit from the basement garage at the Apartments. In addition, they will repair the paving around manhole in the main road near Unit 66. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve our village experience.

Lastly, I wish to inform you that Andrea Abrahams has resigned as our Village Administrator.  She is exploring other opportunities and we wish her much success. We will definitely miss her.
