        Dear Resident

Crime is an unfortunate everyday reality of life in South Africa. So, it makes sense that it consistently ranks among the top concerns for many of us, second only to unemployment. At Evergreen Lifestyle, your safety and security is our top priority. As you know, we take extensive measures and employ multiple layers of protection to ensure that our villages are secure at all times. However, we ask that you bear in mind these key considerations when exploring the neighbourhood.

* Always remain vigilant. Be aware of your surroundings and take note of what is going on in the vicinity. Also notice the people around you.
* Do not stroll aimlessly - walk with purpose to where you're headed.
* Rather join a group than going out on your own, and think twice about going out after dark.
* Take care not to display jewellery or other valuable items like watches, bracelets or cell phones.
* In the unfortunate event that something untoward might occur, report it immediately to village management, and to the police, if necessary.

Our residents' physical safety is one of the pillars of our business and we take this extremely seriously. However, our scope of operations is limited by the perimeters of our property. This means that if something occurs outside the village boundaries, we may not be able to intervene. Nonetheless, we do endeavour to make sure that the immediate surroundings of our villages are as safe as possible.
