Happy Birthday wishes to Brian Marquis (Unit 66) on 20th February and Veronica Lamson (Unit 57)  on 22nd February.

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 19 February will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving Roast Chicken breast with spinach and feta stuffing  OR Fillet of beef with red wine gravy sauce served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by Ice cream & chocolate sauce. R140pp. We kindly request that you book with reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 18 February at 12-noon. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments.

The Telecare Information session will take place in the clubhouse on Wednesday, 20 February at 10h30. Please join Anton de Beer, owner of Telecare for a presentation on the Telecare system. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating purposes. A tea will be served after the presentation.

Housekeeping Items:

-       We have contracted with Topfell to trim the four Palm Trees at the pool, cut back the dead poplar trees in the Berm area and generally tidy up. They will be in the village on Monday, 18 February and Tuesday, 19 February from 9am.

-       in addition, Waltons contractors will be in the village for the week to:

o   adjust the fence at unit 66 and 67 and replace these with timber infill panels which will fit the general “look and feel” of the village;

o   install a temporary pre-cast wall with electric fence to secure the village in front of Unit 65. This will allow contractors to facilitate access/exit from the basement garage at the Apartments;

o   repairs to paving around the gullies in Phase 4; and

o   repair the paving around manhole in the main road.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding as we continue to improve our village experience.

Forthcoming Events:

-       Don’t forget to book to for our live entertainment evening MELLO & JIVE which will take place in the Clubhouse on Friday, 22 February at 6:30pm. MELLO & JIVE promises to set your feet tapping with hits from the 60’s to today. Booking essential. R80 per person. Snacks will be provided. Please bring your own refreshments.

-       Please diarise the Unique Health Wellness Day will be held on Wednesday, 27 February from 9am – 3pm. Bookings are required.

Although the country experienced load shedding for the entire week, things seem to have improved. Eskom stated today that it was highly unlikely that there would be a need to schedule power cuts. But we shall all take this with a pinch of salt – be prepared.
