[Evergreen Muizenberg] Evergreen Muizenberg Care Centre Update - 13 January 2021

        Dear Resident,

NEW CARE CENTRE MANAGER

I trust that you enjoyed a peaceful festive season and that the new year 2021
has been off to a great start. As expected, COVID - 19 has not let up and we
find ourselves in the middle of the second wave. I anticipate that it is here to stay
for a while yet. Please ensure that you are still adhering to strict COVID - 19 protocols,
and that you take extreme caution when leaving your home.

In correspondence shared in July/September 2020 when Evergreen Health took over the
management of the Care Centre at Evergreen Muizenberg, we alluded to the fact that
Melanie Carstens would be seconded to the facility in a temporary capacity as Care
Centre Manager. During these past few months, the team at the Care Centre under the
guidance of Melanie have done a great job in improving the experience to our residents
and the service delivery is something we are very proud of.

To this end, we would like to extend a warm welcome to the new Care Centre Manager
Matron Yolanda Wilson. She joined the team on the 05th January 2021. Yolanda joins us
from Gauteng and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has been
in nursing for over 26 years, and in the last 7 years specializing in Geriatrics. One of her
many achievements is opening a memory care unit at her previous retirement estate
where she was employed. Yolanda also brings her knowledge of Medical case management,
which she achieved with the Medi - Clinic and Netcare group.

She was born in Paarl and is excited to be back in her home province.

Yolanda is a single mom of two, to her son James (22), and her daughter Kayla who is 19.

I would like to thank Melanie for her contribution and for providing a steady hand during
some very difficult times whilst we were taking over the facility and also battling the
COVID - 19 pandemic. Furthermore, I want to take the opportunity to wish Yolanda well in
her new role and I am sure all of you will have the pleasure of dealing with her in the near future.

Lastly, we want to remind all of you once again to please follow the protocols and to stay safe
during these perilous times.

Always wear your mask, Always sanitise, and Always keep a safe social distance.
