Please note that from this week the new catering arrangement and increased prices will be in place. I have attached the Monthly Menu for your perusal

  *   Just a reminder that WPC will not be operating the Bistro on Saturday – no meals will be served.
  *   There will be only one meal (Fish & Chips) on Friday at the standard price of R60 per meal.
  *   In addition, please note that there will be no more ‘delivery charge’ to have your meal delivered to your unit, in the event that you are ill or feeling poorly.

Activities coming up this week:

•                      The Bridge Club has been temporarily discontinued until further notice. If you wish to join the bridge group, please call Mrs Feitelberg.

•                      Chair Exercise Group meets to stretch to music every Wednesday morning at 10am in the Recreation Room. ALL WELCOME

•                      HNA Active Aging Class connects with residents to exercise in the recreation room on Fridays.

•                      Residents Braai – takes place every Saturday evening.  Bring your own meat and refreshments and gather in the Bistro. Call Margaret Hull on Ext 1716 for additional information.

Forthcoming Events:

  *   Fellowship Group Thursday 15 September at 10h30-11h30 in the recreation room, ALL WELCOME

External Refurbishment:

  *   Highpoint Contractors have obviously been delayed with the bad weather, they are moving as quickly as they can and are driving towards completing this area/facade by 16th Septembe. They will keep us updated.
  *   The external security fences and boundary walls are being done by another team and they will be moving around the boundary to complete their project.
  *   During next week, we will be sending Andrew and Artwell to the first-floor patio’s (#101 – 105) to remove pot plants and other garden decorative items to allow the painters to set up. They will also be repairing all the Juliet balconies (1st-3rd Floors) and Artwell and Andrew will also assist you to move pot plants/garden decorative items so that they can commence with external repair of cracks, damp proofing and painting. Please make sure that any sentimental items are packed away carefully and/or removed from the patios. It is a messy and noisy job. See separate circular..
  *   In addition, another team will start next week by erecting scaffolding at the entrance to the basement parking (on the exit lane from the parking). Please drive slowly and follow directions when entering and leaving the village.

General:

  *   Both Muizenberg and Diep River have combined their Shopping days and Eschels Transport will pick up the Muizenberg residents up first and then come through to Diep River for collection at 09h30 every alternate Tuesday. The next trip is planned for 06/09  (Blue Route) 20/09 (Constantia Village). R30 per trip will be added to your levy account. It is important to book your seat with reception on Ext 1400. If we have no bookings by the Monday, we will cancel the trip for Tuesday.
  *   Just a reminder that we will collect Refuse Bins early on Monday. Please assist us and only put out your rubbish bins early on a Saturday (bins get emptied and swopped) and early on Monday morning (bins get washed and sanitized before they are replaced).
  *   RECYCLING is important. Please make sure that you drop your recycling into the proper bins.
  *   Library – Please ensure that should you return a book to the library that you place it on the table clearly marked. We sanitize all books prior to putting them back on the shelf. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Just a note to say that Neville Davis (Unit  315) has been transferred to Trianon Frail Care Centre yesterday. Gaye Davis will remain a resident in our village.
