[Melrose Arch Tenant]

Dear Tenants and Residents,

Please be advised that we have received notice of a protest scheduled to take place outside Melrose Arch, at the corner of Sunnyside Road and Melrose Boulevard, on Thursday, 28 May 2026, between 12h00 and 14h00.

In order to effectively ensure the safety and security of all residents, tenants, visitors, and staff, the Corlett Gate will be temporarily closed from 11h30 until approximately 14h30. During this period, all motorists are advised to make use of the three alternative precinct entrances.

Security personnel, members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), and JMPD officers will be deployed on-site to monitor and manage the protest, ensuring that it proceeds peacefully and in accordance with all legal requirements.

We kindly request that individuals refrain from gathering or spectating in the affected area, in support of the authorities’ efforts to maintain a safe and controlled environment.

Once the protest has concluded, all affected gates and roadways will be reopened to normal traffic flow.

The safety and wellbeing of everyone within the precinct remains our highest priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
