Coming up this week:

  *   Regular Art Classes offered by Anastasia will be held in the Bistro every Monday at 2:30pm. Residents can reap great benefits from art including improvement of cognition, sensory stimulation and sharpening memory. If you are interested, please contact Anastasia on 072 766 9573.

  *   Canasta club, hosted by Jacky Orton, will be held in the Clubhouse every Monday at 3pm. Canasta is the most traditional and loved card game by all. It is an exciting mix of strategy, luck and skill. Beginners welcome. For additional information, please contact Jacky Orton on Ext 131.

  *   Ageless Grace class will take place every Thursday morning at 10am in the Games Room. R 40pp per class. If you are interested, please contact Pat on 083 366 2790. The Ageless Grace exercises focus on the healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotion and spirit. All exercises are practiced sitting in a chair and are movements that are natural and organic.

  *   Open days every Sunday for the month of March from 2pm till 4pm at the Apartments.

  *   The Silver Giltedge Travel Club will be having a short travel talk in the Clubhouse on Wednesday, 4 March at 10:30am. Please book with reception for seating purposes.

  *   Western Province Catering will be hosting a Harvest Table Lunch on Friday, 6 March at 12:30pm. There will be live entertainment from Duo A La Carte who will be performing a piano and violin show. Please book with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200 by Wednesday, 5 March for catering and seating purposes.

  *   Movie Night - 7 March at 7pm – The Railway Man. Please book with Paddy Fordyce on Ext 152 for seating purposes.

  *   2020 Over 50’s Cricket World Cup will take place from Tuesday, 10 March till 24 March. Free Entry. Please see attached poster advertising the 2020 Over 50’s Cricket World Cup. We have attached the fixtures and match schedule for your attention.
  *   Join us for an interactive workshop on The Conversation Project which is dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end of life care with the people they love right now on Thursday, 12 March at 2:30pm.
  *   Kind2Hearing will be having a presentation in the Clubhouse on Friday, 13 March at 12:30pm. They are a mobile service that offer free hearing screenings, free cleaning of all hearing device types and other services in the comfort of your home. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating purposes by Tuesday, 11 March.
  *   Classical Music Evening on Wednesday, 18 March in the clubhouse at 7pm. Hosted by Herman Poelmann. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating and catering purposes. Salty snacks will be available and you are welcome to bring your own wine and refreshments.
  *   Bingo night on Friday, 20 March in the clubhouse at 6pm. Join us for a fun-filled evening. R60pp. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for catering purposes as a light meal will be served.
  *   Bergvliet Pub Night to be held on Friday, 27 March at 6pm. Meet in the clubhouse for our popular social event. Light snacks will be served. Please book at reception for catering purposes or to buy a book of tickets for R100.
