Covid19 - Residents in Isolation/ Residents Recovery

We would like to inform you that Brian Dalton (apartment resident) was tested positive for COVID-19 after he had not fully recovered from a sinus operation last week. He was still feeling poorly on Tuesday which led him to do a test, unfortunately with a positive result. He has informed everyone that they have had contact with over the last week in the event that they may show symptom and will isolate in their homes for the next ten days.
We have done a track and contact list with the office staff, clinic/ ENA's and general workers and confirm that no services have been provided to them since last week. I would personally like to thank both Brian and Carol for contacting me immediately and for getting in touch with their friends who they may have had contact with them in the last week. It is only in this way that we can fight this pandemic and endeavour to stop it from getting into the village.
On a brighter note, I would also like to inform you that our residents who were infected with COVID-19, Myrle and Brian Mawman have fully recovered after their isolation period. We also welcome back Mike and Jenni Uys, who returned from hospital yesterday where they were admitted and treated for the virus. We trust that they will go from strength to strength and we look forward to seeing them out and about soon.
It is also a stark reminder that Covid-19 is everywhere and we should take every precaution, we must be vigilant. Please ensure that you wear a three-ply cloth mask over your nose and mouth at all times when leaving your home; wash your hands and sanitise every hour on the hour; practice social distancing of at least two meters.

We would again like to reiterate to all residents to please alert the Village Manager as soon as you experience any COVID-19 symptoms, such as a sore throat; a fever or increased temperature; a dry cough; body aches; or shortness of breath; loss of taste and/or smell. If you suspect that you have coronavirus symptoms, please call the clinic or reception for assistance - please do not come to the clubhouse. It is vital that you report to Village Management as soon as you are not feeling well and that you isolate and do not socialise with other residents.

Furthermore, should you or any of your family go for a COVID-19 test, we request that you inform us immediately. Please do not let them visit you until they receive a negative result and we have been informed.
