What's happening next week: 21/10/2019 - 27/10/2019

The choice of meal for the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 22 October in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of either Beef Bourguignon with Basmati Rice and seasonal vegetables OR Pork Medallions with plum sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by Ice-Cream with chocolate sauce, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 21 October. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Further to requests from residents, our weekly shuttle will now be from 10:00am (Tuesday Mornings). We hope that this will work out better for you. Please remember to reserve your seat with Reception on EXT 300

BISTRO Daily Lunch Specials:
Monday, 21/10         Pork Bangers with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 22/10        Grilled chicken salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and olives) with Greek dressing
Wednesday, 23/10   Beef Bobotie with yellow rice, tomato sambals and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 24/10       Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day
Friday, 25/10            Grilled Chicken, mushroom and leek in a creamy sauce with tagliatelle and salad of the day

Coming up this week:-

  *   Classical Music Evening will be held on Wednesday, 23 October in the clubhouse at 7pm. Felix Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture played by the National Orchestra of France and Rachmninoff's Piano Concerto No.3 in D minor played by Yuja Wang with the Staatskapelle of Dresden. Hosted by Herman Poelmann. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating and catering purposes. Salty snacks will be available and you are welcome to bring your own wine and refreshments.
  *   Bergvliet Pub Night to be held on Friday, 25 October at 6pm. Meet in the clubhouse for our popular social event. Light snacks will be served. Please book at reception for catering purposes or to buy a book of tickets for R100.
  *   Constantiaberg Dance Academy proudly presents Happily Ever After: A ballet production inspired by the all time favourite fairytales. Production will take place on Friday, 25 October and Saturday, 26 October at Bergvliet High School Theatre for R90pp. For more information, please contact reception on Ext 300
  *   Ageless Grace class will take place every Wednesday morning at 10am in the Games Room. R 40pp per class.

Forthcoming events:

  *   Market Day & Craft Display - this will be held on the 12th December at the clubhouse. We will be sending more information during the next few weeks.
  *   Giltedge International will be having a Viking River Cruise Presentation Thursday, 21 November at 11am in the Clubhouse. Please book at reception by Thursday, 14 November.

National Day Calendar:

  *   Friday, 25 October is World Pasta Day.

Don't forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Tuesday, 29 October.
