We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Amanda Bester (#34) on 9th October and David Gretton (#3) on 13th October.

The choice of meal for the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 8 October in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of either Battered Hake with tartar sauce, chips, fresh lemon, Greek salad and dressing OR Pork Belly with plum sauce, mustard mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by a Mini Fruit Pavlova, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 9 October. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Further to requests from residents, our weekly shuttle will now be from 10:00am (Tuesday Mornings) from next Tuesday, 8th October. We hope that this will work out better for you. Please remember to reserve your seat with Reception on EXT 300

BISTRO Daily Lunch Specials:
Monday, 07/10         Moroccan Chicken Tagine served with rice and seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 08/10        Beef and Mushroom pie served with gravy, potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Wednesday, 09/10   Bacon, Mushroom and leek tagliatelle with salad of the day
Thursday, 10/10       BBQ Chicken kebabs with potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Friday, 11/10            Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

Coming up this week:-

  *   Western Province Catering (WPC) have arranged a delightful free Showstoppers, a lunchtime music concert performed by a group of young, talented singers in the Bistro on Monday, 7 October at 12-noon, before lunch is served. Please confirm your attendance for this event or book lunch with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200 by no later than Friday, 4 October for seating purposes
  *   We will be hosting our popular Quiz Evening in the Clubhouse on Thursday, 10 October at 6:00pm. A light meal will be served.  R70pp Please book and pay at reception.
  *   Ageless Grace class will take place every Wednesday morning at 10am in the Games Room. R 40pp per class.

Forthcoming events:

  *   Classical Music Evening will be held on Wednesday, 16 October in the clubhouse at 7pm. Hosted by Herman Poelmann. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating and catering purposes. Salty snacks will be available and you are welcome to bring your own wine and refreshments.
  *   Sunday Roast Lunch prepared by Mrs Yvonne Whitford will be on Sunday, 20 October at 12:30pm. R180pp. Please book with Reception on Ext 300 by Thursday, 17 October. Should you require any further information please contact Yvonne Whitford on Ext 114.

  *   The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra presents CPO Spectacular, showcase for the brilliant singers, dancers and instrumentalist in our community. This will take place at the Artscape Theatre on Sunday, 20 October at 5pm. For more information or to book, please contact reception on Ext 300.
  *   Open Gardens Constantia 2019: Four diverse Constantia gardens each practicing sensible water management. Tickets bought in advance are going at R70 and at the gate, R80 – includes SOZO barista coffee or tea and eats. Event will take place on Saturday, 19 October from 9am till 5pm. Please book with reception on Ext 300. Shuttle available for outing at R30 pp.
  *   Bergvliet Pub Night to be held on Friday, 25 October at 6pm. Meet in the clubhouse for our popular social event. Light snacks will be served. Please book at reception for catering purposes or to buy a book of tickets for R100.
  *   Market Day & Craft Display – this will be held on the 12th December at the clubhouse. We will be sending more information during the next few weeks.

Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Tuesday, 29 October.
