We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Yvonne Whitford (Unit 14) on 28th June.

Your choice of meal for our Tuesday Social Dinner on 25 June in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of Beer Battered Hake and tartare sauce served with chips and Greek salad OR Honey and Mustard Roasted Chicken served on mashed and seasonal vegetables.  Dessert is Eton Mess and and  tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book with WPC before 12-noon on Monday, 24th June. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Forthcoming Events:
- Village Bring & Braai – Sunday, 23 June at 12h30 – Please join us for lunchtime braai at the clubhouse. Please bring and braai your own meat and drinks. The committee will provide salads, rolls and dessert. (R50).
- Residents Meeting will be held in the clubhouse on Monday, 24 June at 15h00. Please make every effort to attend.
- Health presentation hosted by Unique Health on Wednesday, 26 June at 11h00 in the clubhouse: How to live to 100 – To find the path to long life and health, Dan Buettner and team study the world's "Blue Zones," communities whose elders live with vim and vigour to record-setting age. In his talk, he shares the nine common diet and lifestyle habits that keep them spry past age 100. (Filmed at TEDxTC.)
- Bergvliet Pub Night to be held on Friday 28 June at 6pm. Meet in the clubhouse for our popular social event. Light snacks will be served. Please book at reception for catering purposes.
- Men’s Breakfast to be held on Thursday, 4th June at 09h00. We have planned a special guest speaker and it promises to be very interesting.  Please book with Shawn at reception on Ext 300.

Village Housekeeping:

-       FTTH – Please note that Walton’s, the paving contractor will be here on Monday, 24 June to commence remedial work outside of Units 34/35, 40/41, 55, and 60/61. They will only need to work in the road. Trenching will be done in order to unblock the line/conduit to enable the fibre installation. The balance of the Village FTTH installation can proceed as soon as this is done. We will keep you posted.

-       Blackland Painters –Painting teams will continue to snag houses to the end of June.  They are in the process of painting external walls of the clubhouse and we hope that they will be finished shortly.

-       Installation of LED Lights: To those residents who have the installation of LED lights done, I trust you will shortly see the cost saving benefits. Our internal electrician, Danie van der Merwe will be offsite now, however the installation of the LED lights will continue by appointment only. Shawn Ferreira will be in touch to schedule installation.

-       Village Shuttle – our weekly transport shuttle service to shopping centres and medical suites is working well. Shuttle service is available on Tuesday (9am) and Thursday (1pm). Please book your seat with reception. A R20 nominal fee will be charged per passenger which can be paid for in cash or billed direct to your levy account.

-       Our duty manager, Nomfundo Moletse will be on duty this weekend between 8am-5pm. heavy rainfall is forecast for this evening, take care and keep warm
