What’s happening next week: 12/11/2018 – 18/11/2018

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 13 November will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving Italian meatballs in tomato sauce on penne with grated mozzarella OR Sweet and sour pork with cashew nuts on noodles served with green vegetables followed by Chocolate and peppermint ice-cream with chocolate sauce and tea/coffee. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 12 November.

The St Luke’s presentation will take place on Thursday, 15 November at 10:30am - St Luke’s Combined Hospices provide multi-disciplinary palliative care in the form of nursing, social work and spiritual care. They also provide bereavement care and offer support to families following the death of their loved ones. Their presentation will outline how to access St Luke’s services, what the services include and how to claim for these from your medical aid. Please join us for an informative morning followed by tea/coffee. We look forward to seeing you there. Please confirm attendance for catering purposes with Andréa on Ext 300.

Our monthly roast lunch will take place on Sunday, 18 November at 12:30pm. Cost: R165 per person. Please call Andréa on Ext 300 to book your table by Thursday, 15 November.

Don’t forget to buy your raffle ticket for the delicious Christmas Cake. R50 per ticket at reception. The draw will take place on Friday, 7 December.

Please note that we have added an additional 32 post boxes to accommodate our new residents moving into the village. We have placed temporary numbers on the post boxes so that you can identify the location of your new post box. Units 1 to 12 will remain in the same location. We kindly request that all other post boxes be cleared by Monday, 12 November so that we can replace name tags.

Forthcoming Events:

  *   Classical Music Evening will take place on Wednesday, 21 November at 7pm. For more information, contact Herman Poelmann on Ext 115.
  *   Bollywood Theme dinner will take place on Friday, 23rd November. Cost: R165 per person. Call Andréa on Ext 300 to book.

As mentioned last week, there will be a lot of activity in the village in order to prepare Phase 4 for occupation. The “redbrick” vibracrete wall will be removed on Wednesday, 14 November in order for paving/roads to be completed. In addition, streetlights will be added, visitors parking bays will be completed, landscaping will be done. We respectfully request that our residents do not try to gain access to the new development yet, please remember that it is still a building site and there are health and safety rules and regulations in place. (A guard will be posted at the access point). Once the contractors are off-site at the end of November and phase 4 has been handed back to us, we will arrange a walk-about for residents. Please be patient and we apologise for any inconvenience.
