What’s happening next week 12/12/2016 - 18/12/2016

We would like to wish Mike Uys (Unit 08) a Happy Birthday on Tuesday, 13 December.

-       Our Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday, 13 December at 6:30pm for 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. We are serving a choice of Babotie with yellow rice & raisins served with sambals or Coronation chicken served with confetti rice & green salad. This will be followed by Fruit salad and cream and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 12 December 2016. Unfortunately no late bookings can be accepted.

-       Please note that both Christine and I will be attending the Evergreen Village Christmas Lunch on Tuesday, 13 December from 13h00 and so Reception will be manned by Amanda.

-       A reminder that Evergreen Bergvliet will be treating all our all our staff to a Xmas braai function on Thursday, 15th December. The Clubhouse will be closed from 12h30 – 15h30.

-       The time has come to say goodbye to Sister Jenny Mackenzie who will be taking up her new post as mentioned a while ago. We are happy to announce that Sister Pam Duncan will be bridging the gap and looking after our residents until the new appointment is made early in the              new year. Sister Duncan is no stranger to the Evergreen Villages as she has previously worked at both Bergvliet and Diep River. Please make her feel welcome over this period.

Thank you to all who have contributed to the Christmas gift drive for our designated village charity, HOPE HOUSE and appeal to all residents to buy a small toy for a child between the ages of 0-12 years.  Please place your gift in the box provided at reception and be sure to identify the present with a small label, including information on whether it’s for a boy/girl and age. This will make it easier for distribution by “Santa” to the children. We will be handing these over to Hope House via Veronica Lamson, Unit 57, by no later than Wednesday, 14 December.

Forthcoming Events:

-       Lucky Draw - R50 buys you three raffle tickets for the monthly lucky draw!

-       Ageless Grace takes place every Thursday morning at 10am – come and try this amazing movement class yourself and feel the benefit.

-       A festive New Year’s Eve party (Bring & Share) will take place on Saturday, 31 December at 10:00pm. All welcome. Please call Andréa on Ext 300 indicate if you will be attending. For further information, please call Ronnie van Reenen.
