What’s happening next week 05/12/2016 - 11/12/2016

 We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday: 3rd December, Ton Weber (Unit 05); 4th December, Eileen Rickard (Unit 09); 7th December, Paddy Oberhofer (Unit 01).

-       Our Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday, 06 December at 6:30pm for 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. We are serving a choice of Spinach & Butternut Lasagne served with a garden salad or Cape Malay Pickled Fish with potato salad and garden salad. This will be followed by Bread & Butter pudding made with croissants and marmalade served with ice-cream and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 05 December 2016. Unfortunately no late bookings can be accepted.

-       Please note that Monday, 05 December is the booking deadline for the Village Year-End Function. We would like to do a “Secret Santa” to the value of R50 which will be handed out on the evening. Please identify whether your gift is specifically for a male or female or generic.

-       A reminder that there will be an interruption to your electricity supply on Thursday, 08 December from 08h00 to 17h30.

Forthcoming Events:

-       Lucky Draw - R50 buys you three raffle tickets for the monthly lucky draw!

-       Ageless Grace takes place every Thursday morning at 10am – come and try this amazing movement class yourself and feel the benefit.

In addition, we are doing a special Christmas gift drive for our designated village charity, HOPE HOUSE and appeal to all residents to buy a small toy for a child between the ages of 0-12 years.  Please place your gift in the box provided at reception and be sure to identify the present with a small label, including information on whether it’s for a boy/girl and age. This will make it easier for distribution by “Santa” to the children. We will be handing these over to Hope House via Veronica Lamson, Unit 57, by no later than Wednesday, 14 December.

As you all know we currently have a "no gift" policy with regards to our staff at Evergreen Villages. However, as pointed out in the circular sent our earlier, this policy is relaxed over the Christmas period and we accept voluntary contributions to a "Christmas Fund" that will be managed by two members of Mancom and which will be distributed equally amongst the village staff. Please hand in your contributions to Andréa at reception. Just a note to all residents that Evergreen Bergvliet will be treating all our staff to a Xmas braai function on Thursday, 15th December in the Clubhouse from 12h30 – 15h00.
