[Evergreen Muizenberg] Volunteers needed - Thursday 27 January

        Dear Resident,

Do you walk quite comfortably without a walking aid ?

This is an invitation for you to participate in a valuable scientific study. Nabilah Ebrahim who

is registered for a Masters in Biokinetics at the Department of Sport, Recreation and Exercise

Science at UWC and needs you as a volunteer.

Research Topic:

The determinants for falls among the elderly in retirement facilities in the City of Cape Town.

It is a study to establish the risk factors associated with causing falls in the elderly who are

living in retirement facilities

All it takes is 30 minutes of you time. You will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and then

participate in some very simple physical exercises.

Please find attached :-

  *   a poster advertising the event, Thursday 27 January.
  *   information letter with all the info. you need to know.
  *   the research proposal.

Please give you names in at reception and they will in turn give you a time slot.

Reception will also call you at a later stage to confirm the venue.
