[Evergreen Muizenberg] COVID19 – Updated Protocols/Access to Village

        Dear Resident,

Please note that our primary concern in sending out this latest notice is to maintain the health and safety of our
village residents and staff.

To date we have been ahead of the curve and would like to do everything we can to keep the Covid -19 virus
from our Village.

After careful deliberation Evergreen has decided to introduce the following protocols which will come
into effect on Monday 23 March from midnight.

·           ACCESS TO THE VILLAGE: All access will have to be approved by Village Management who have been

instructed only to accommodate emergencies. Should your request be seen to be non-essential and have

any possible risk associated to it, it will be denied. All visitors granted access will have to report to the

lifestyle centre before proceeding.

·           PRIVATE DOMESTIC WORKERS/GARDENERS & CONTRACTORS – Please advise your staff/contractors

not to come to work until further notice. Only essential home care will be allowed.

·           SELF-QUARANTINE: Residents are encouraged to stay at home and keep social contact to a minimum.

Please cancel all social gatherings such as family get-togethers, visitors, meetings, bridge and any other

clubs until further notice

·           SHOPPING: Avoid shops and shopping malls - order on line/get home deliveries. Contact the front desk

if you need assistance in this regard. We will make arrangements to accommodate deliveries direct to the

lifestyle centre. We also have a number of residents who have volunteered to do shopping on your behalf.

·           VILLAGE MANAGEMENT: Will alternate their presence in the village and can always be

contacted by mobile phone or landline, 021 709 8100.

  *   THE CARE CENTRE: The following precautionary measures have been implemented in the Care Centre –

NO visitors will be allowed in the Care Centre to limit the risks
We ask that you minimize your interaction with outside people, and if you have to go out, that you consider your
fellow residents, and maintain good hygiene and distance, please adhere to social distancing / quarantine.
Please also limit your visits to the life style centre

Please be assured that we are taking this extremely seriously and ask you to support Village Management and

the health team during this critical time.

Should you have any concerns or suspect any symptoms – please contact Village Management immediately

who will guide you through the steps to be taken. Our goal at Evergreen is to keep our Villages virus free,

we need your help and support to make this a reality.
