[Evergreen Muizenberg] Stay safe and prevent a COVID-19 resurgence

        Dear Resident,

Further to our communication on Friday, I would like to again remind residents of the risks and
seriousness of the Covid-19 virus.

We are experiencing a spike in infections<http://cityofcapetown.evlink19.net/servlet/link/28169/95628/57308030/484383> as the virus resurges in our communities. In last nights
Ministry of Health's daily media statement we currently have 15 468 active cases in the Western
Cape, this has increased by over 5 000 persons in just six days, a staggering 53% increase. Unlike
the peak, when the country was still in levels five and four, there is far more mobility under the
current level 1, which means the risk of transmission is greater, and not limited to the areas that
are experiencing a surge in caseload.

The spread of this virus is directly as a result of our behaviour. There are very few cases of where
the person who has contracted the virus have been 100% compliant in following the continuously
repeated protocols. By acting to limit the spread of the virus, we can manage the load on our
healthcare system and ultimately save lives.

Unless it is absolutely necessary, avoid large crowds or gatherings. If you must be out in public,

please ensure that you follow the COVID-19 Golden Rules:

  *   Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water, or use a sanitiser with an

          alcohol content of at least 70%.

  *   Try avoid touching your face.
  *   Wear a mask when outside your home at all times, covering both your nose and mouth.
  *   Keep a social distance of at least 1,5 metres / 5 feet
  *   Cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue, or if not available into the crook of your arm.
  *   Avoid potential high 'used' areas.
  *   If you're not feeling well, stay at home

Again, if you are showing any of the typical Civid-19 virus symptoms, please immediately contact the
management team by telephone.
Please do not contact anyone in person, stay at home, we will come to you.

There is no need to panic, a few of the weekly 'get-togethers' have been postponed for the
week by the organisers. It is simple and I have no doubt that by following these simple logical rules
you / we will keep this virus at bay.

Lastly, I would like to give you an update on the resident who contracted the virus, they are well,
recovered and in good spirits.
