Coming up in the next week:-

  *   Kindly book for your free assessment with Physiotherapist Loren, for 20 August between 10h00 and 12h00.

Bookings to be made at the care centre reception on Extension 176 or muizenbergfrailcare at uniquehealth.co.za<mailto:muizenbergfrailcare at uniquehealth.co.za>

The assessment will include checking strength, mobility, posture etc, to assist in the prevention of future injuries.

  *   Also, on Tuesday, 20 August, our security providers, Grinnell Security, will give us a short presentation

on safety and general crime awareness, covering driving, banking and personal safety. Main TV area.

  *   Join us on Wednesday the 21st, in the Bistro for another great bit of lunch time entertainment, "Show Stoppers" is the theme,

songs from well-known movies and stage productions, it promises to be a fun time and all with the compliments of Western Province Catering.

You have a choice of two main course meals, either a beef and mushroom pie or barbeque chicken kebabs

Please book lunch and seat by dialling 2253.

  *   Movies - Wednesday evening is "Along came Polly". Kindly book your Snack Supper on Tuesday, for collection at 17h00 on Wednesday.

Sunday movie is the "Destroyer".

  *   A presentation on the benefits of Aloe Gel for mature skin will be held in the Lifestyle Centre on Thursday 22nd at 11h00.

It will be hosted by Barbara from Totally Wild. Totally Wild is a Cape Town based company that specialise in a small range

of medicinal type of Aloe juice and organic Aloe gel for the skin. Barbara will be selling Organic Aloe Gel at a special price of R80 per tube.

Please book at reception for seating.

  *   Bingo on Thursday continues to be popular, join in for a sociable (and sometimes tense) evening.

  Forthcoming events:

  *   Gin Tasting with Sugarbird Gins, Thursday 29th at 4pm, three different gins available to taste.

  *   Our Annual General Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 3 September in the Lifestyle Centre.

You will be receiving your AGM pack today. Nominations for Residents Committee members close on Tuesday 27 August.

  *   Five ladies from our Muizenberg Market organising committee visited the Grassy Park SPCA, who are the beneficiaries of the proceeds from the market.

They were given a tour of the facility, which has just been upgraded with a lifting devise for heavy animals.

This market, in aid of this excellent cause, is to be held in the Lifestyle Centre on Saturday 26 October, a variety of residents produced home-made goods will be sold.

  Village General

  *   FTTH - We are at the last phases of the huge project. The installers are working over this week-end to make sure they meet the deadline.

>From Monday they will start fitting the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) box, this devise connects the fibre to your home modem.

We are getting close..........We now hope to go 'live' by the latest 30 August.
Reception or Maintenance will contact you from Monday to have these ONT boxes installed

  *   Painting of underground parking bays and numbers. This will take place on Saturday, please co-operate with maintenance and the duty manager on duty,

they might contact you to move your car for a short while.

  *   Village Shuttle - our weekly transport shuttle service to the Blue Route as well as Melomed Hospital is working well.

The service is available on a Monday at 9h30 and Wednesday at 13h30. On a Wednesday we have added "Fruit Lovers Market" as a stop.

Please book your seat with reception. A R20 nominal fee will be charged per passenger which can be billed to your levy account.

  *   Speaking of fantastic causes don't forget the white "U-Turn" bin in the laundry.

With the change of seasons, you might have some unwanted, too small, too big items of clothing.

Simply put any clothing in the bin or you can also drop any items at apartment 101, Mr & Mrs Harrison.
