[Evergreen Lake Michelle] Covid-19 Notice

Dear Residents,

I hope you are well and keeping warm.

I am sure everyone has had an opportunity to have a look at the updated Covid-10 protocols shared and also the Whatsapp message shared by Garry Reed thereafter.

It has been clear from the daily news reports and especially at what the current situation in Gauteng is looking like that we cannot be caught off guard during the 3rd Wave of Covid Infections.

With that in mind we have in yesterday's Noordhoek ResCom meeting jointly decided on a few precautionary measures that has been added the protocols shared on Friday. See attached and below.

Lake Michelle residents can continue to use the facilities and attend interest groups keeping the same protocols in mind.

Interest groups and social activities:
All interest groups are restricted to 50% of the capacity of the venue it is being held in and all attendees must strictly comply with social distancing and wearing of masks. No catering will be allowed during any of the gatherings.
Sadly the Friday night socials cannot continue safely at this time and will not be taking place until further notice.

*                     Cinema Room - Maximum 12 residents per viewing

*                     Crafts / Games room - Maximum 12 residents

*                     Aqua Aerobics - Maximum 15 residents per class

*                     Bridge / Canasta - Can continue. Wearing of masks and regular sanitizing compulsory

*                     Knitting Club - Wearing of masks compulsory. Numbers allowed based on distancing and being on open lounge

*                     Pool / Table Tennis - Wearing of masks and regular sanitizing compulsory

*                     Library - All books returned must be placed in the "Returns" box for sanitizing.

*                     Fellowship - Maximum numbers to be confirmed based on venue used.

Bistro:
Residents are welcome to make use of the dining area. It is not recommended that groups of more than 4 sit per table and social distancing in between tables are to be maintained at all times.

Deliveries:
We will be reinstating Pick n Pay orders from next week. Ordering and delivery days will be shared on a separate email.

I would like to mention that there is a fare amount of "freedom of movement" within our protocols but how successful we manage to continue to navigate ourselves through the Covid-19 pandemic is determined but each individuals actions.
We have all had some relief from what was referred to as Covid fatigue that crept in earlier this year but now we have to again pull together and think twice before putting ourselves and fellow residents at risk. Talking from experience I can truly say that it is extremely difficult to fully protect yourself from an invisible danger. The best way to stay safe is to proactively avoiding any uncontrolled and unprotected environments and reduce the risk of infecting yourself.

Attached you will also find some information on how to cope with Covid at home that you might find informative.

I trust that we all can agree that the above changes in our immediate surroundings is done with the best intentions and the we can count on each other to keep our Village as safe as possible.
