[Evergreen Broadacres] Note from Resident raising concerns with recording of registration numbers at Broadacres shopping centre

[Evergreen Broadacres]

        Dear Residents,

It was brought to our attention by one of the residents that vehicle registration numbers were being taken down by car guards at the
Broadacres Shopping Centre.  The resident enquired as to why the registration numbers were being recorded as this was the first time that she has noticed this happening.  She was
Informed that this was being done as per instruction from Centre Management as they have had claims of items being stolen from cars in the past that were never actually parked at the centre.

The concern was raised by the resident that this could put residents at risk of information being passed onto criminals as she feels they could be recording the perceived vulnerability of drivers as well.

She is of strong belief that this practice should be seized.
This is however not something that she wanted to do in isolation and hence have requested us to send out this communication informing residents of the situation and providing the
Contact number for the Centre Management, should any residents want to contact them to support her thoughts and encourage them to re look this procedure.
