[Melrose Arch Tenant] Rugby Rivalry Series | Increased Footfall - Park & Ride – Melrose Arch

Dear tenant,

Please be advised that a Park & Ride service will be operating from Melrose Arch to FNB Stadium for the upcoming Rivalry Series match.

With our hotels in and around the precinct, including the Protea Hotel by Marriott Johannesburg Wanderers fully booked, we anticipate increased visitor activity and footfall through Melrose Arch both before and after the match, with Springbok and All Black supporters making their way to and from FNB Stadium.

Park & Ride Details:
Location: 44 Boulevard, Melrose Arch
55 buses
Departures: 12:00–15:00
Returns: Up until approximately 22:00

Please also note that the match will be screened on our precinct screens; however, no dedicated public viewing areas are planned due to the unpredictable weather conditions.

While the current weather forecast indicates rainfall and cooler temperatures, we still expect strong movement through the precinct and encourage all retailers to prepare accordingly.

To make the most of the additional footfall, we recommend that retailers:

  *   Ensure adequate staffing during the key pre- and post-match periods.
  *   Prepare for increased customer volumes, particularly across food, beverage and convenience offerings.
  *   Ensure sufficient stock levels of popular and fast-moving items.
