Following a triumphant season in Cape Town, bookings are now open for The Royal Countess Zingara, soon to be transporting her enchantment to the City of Gold.

>From 2026, La Dolce Royal will unfold at the elegant Melrose Arch in Johannesburg, ushering in a dazzling new chapter for her Highveld audiences.

After a decade adrift in the cosmos — wrapped in velvet silence and the shimmer of forgotten dreams — the fabled Countess resurfaced in dinner-cirque splendour last October at Century City for her long-awaited Cape Town homecoming and the reviews have been effusive. And now’s it’s time to bewitch Joburg Zingarians once again with extraordinary performances that include breathtaking aerial and strength acts, balance brilliance, comedy, contortion and more, all delivered with superb skill and aplomb by an outstanding South African and International cast.

Once more, South Africa’s own theatrical conjurer Craig Leo breathes life into the Countess’s world, joined by co-director Valentina Leo and creative visionary Richard Griffin, alongside a troupe of extraordinary dream-builders. Together, they have stitched a universe of splendour — part nostalgia, part revelation — where Zingara’s cherished magic collides with daring new imagination.  “In a world unravelling at the edges, La Dolce Royal is our poetic reply,” says Craig Leo. “It is a love letter to the human spirit and a reminder to hold fast to beauty, to hope and to one another.” As the Countess steps radiant into the spotlight, she beckons her guests to remember the feeling of wonder — to stand at the edge of the surreal and dance there, hand in hand. Here, joy is not an abstraction but a living, breathing force, celebrated nightly in a crescendo of spectacle and soul.”

Set inside the iconic mirrored Spiegeltent, transformed into an ethereal temple of dreams, the experience unfolds like a sacred ceremony. Time stretches, senses bloom and every detail — sound, scent, texture and light — conspires in the service of magic. Guided by a mysterious Timekeeper and welcomed by the Weeping Woman whose sorrow yields to elation, guests journey through acts of aerial wonder, music and song, spectacle and daring.
Located just off the Corlett Drive off-ramp and with direct access to the M1 Highway, Melrose Arch is easily reachable from all major routes. With ample, secure basement parking and 24-hour security, visitors and tenants enjoy both convenience and peace of mind in a sophisticated, pedestrian-friendly setting.

La Dolce Royal at the Arch Pavilion at Melrose Arch runs Tuesdays to Sundays from June 2026. Access is via the BP Gate located opposite the BP Garage on Sunnyside Road. Gates open at 6pm and the show begins at 8pm. Tickets start at R1,260 per person, including a welcome drink, a four-course feast and the full Zingara performance experience. Bespoke hosting options range from Private Lounges and the Aperol Garden to the coveted Royal Balconies and elevated stage tables with sweeping views.
