Dear Residents,

Please take note of the following changes regarding the municipal charges reflected on your monthly accounts:


  1.  City of Cape Town Charges
Effective immediately, all City of Cape Town municipal charges will reflect the actual amounts billed by the municipality and will no longer be charged at a flat rate. As a result, the municipal charges on your account may vary from month to month, as they are based on the City's billing cycle, which does not always cover the same number of days each month.


  1.  Rates Rebate
Residents who previously benefited from a Rates Rebate will notice that the rebate is no longer applied automatically. If you qualify for this rebate, you will need to reapply annually in accordance with the City of Cape Town's requirements.
