Housekeeping:

  *   DQ98 Assessment – I refer to the recent circular regarding the DQ98 Assessment. We have over the years had a number of residents questioning why residents should take the DQ98 assessment. In short, it is mandated and law as far as the older Persons Act of 2006. Evergreen Health has compiled an explanatory document on why, what, how, who and when we conduct these health assessments.  I included the this explanatory document compiled by our Evergreen nursing manager, Dr Guin Lourens. Thank you to all those residents who have already assisted us by making time available for their annual review. SN Zuko Mkalipi will be in touch with residents to schedule the assessment  if you do not already have an appointment.
  *   Vaccines – Evergreen Health is ordering the Flu vaccine and the Pneumonia vaccine, please call the clinic on Ext 3204 should you wish us to order on your behalf and if you wish to have these administered at the village.
  *   Library – Please ensure that should you return a book that you place it on the table clearly marked. We sanitise all books prior to putting them back on the shelf. Your cooperation is appreciated.
  *   Speeding – It has come to my attention that there are regular speedsters in the village who ignore the 20km/h limit when travelling through the village. Some residents also ignore the one way signs. We have put these traffic rules into place after consultation with residents to create traffic flow through the village and to protect the safety of those who enjoy walking. Please respect the safety of your neighbours and obey the traffic rules and keep to the speed limit.
  *   Fire Service

Private Memorial Service
Please note that a private memorial service for Mr Robyn Jackman will be held for family and friends in the Clubhouse on Saturday, 13 February from 12-noon – 4pm.  The clubhouse will be closed and we ask all residents to respect the privacy of the Jackman family and not go to the clubhouse.
