        Dear Resident

President Cyril Ramaphosa has shed light on what the country's new reality will look like beyond the end of April. He highlighted a “risk adjusted” approach to a phased reopening the economy.

Only certain sectors of business or industry will be allowed to go back to work, to ease the current lockdown restrictions, at the beginning of May. He also indicated that in order to ensure the response to the pandemic is precise, there will be a national level and separate levels for each province, district and metro in the country.

The President announced that from 1 May, the country would move from its current Level 5 Lockdown to Level 4 Lockdown. Evergreen Bergvliet has aligned itself with Government’s lockdown requirements, as required.

Herewith updated Level 4 restrictions as it pertains to our village:

·      Every resident is confined to his or her place of residence. We respectfully request residents to only leave the village in the case of an emergency or medical appointments. Please send an email to advise Village Management of such appointments.

·      Residents may only leave their homes to enjoy some exercise in the village, collect items at the main gate, buy essential services or for medical appointments.

·      At Level 4, walking, running and cycling is permitted between the hours of 6am to 9am within a five kilometre radius of their place of residence. However, Evergreen Management strongly advises that you only walk inside the village, on the demarcated route, from 7am until 6pm each day (refer Circular #21 dated 22/04/2020). Should you choose to leave the village, please abide by all security protocols.

·      No resident shall leave their homes between 8pm and 5am.

·      No visits to the healthcare clinic allowed – in home care by appointment only.

·      All residents must wear a face mask or a three-ply homemade cloth mask that covers the nose and mouth when you leave your home or you are in a public space.

·      Please maintain social distancing and keep the recommended minimum two meters apart.

·      Please do not congregate, socialise or visit another resident’s house.

·      The clubhouse, reception, gym, swimming pool, and all common areas, including benches, remain out of bounds. In case of medical emergency these facilities may have to be utilised.

·      No visitors will be allowed into the village.

·      All deliveries are to be dropped off at the main gate. Evergreen staff will sanitise parcels/packets and deliver these to your home or you can arrange to collect.

·      No domestic-or garden services will be allowed in your home

I would like to thank all residents for their support during the national lockdown. You have all done extremely well during very difficult circumstances. Your well-being and safety is very important to us.

	Authority to Contract
