Coming up this week:

  *   Regular Art Classes offered by Anastasia will be held in the Bistro every Monday at 2pm. Residents can reap great benefits from art including improvement of cognition, sensory stimulation and sharpening memory. If you are interested, please contact Anastasia on 072 766 9573.

  *   Bergvliet Pub Night to be held on Friday, 24 January at 6pm. Meet in the clubhouse for our popular social event. Light snacks will be served. Please book at reception for catering purposes or to buy a book of tickets for R100.

  *   Residents interested in trying out bowls are welcomed to join Jacky Orton at the Meadowridge Bowling Club on Friday, 24 January at 1:30pm. No equipment needed, just a pair of flat shoes or barefoot. Please contact reception on Ext 300 by Thursday, 23 January to book.

  *   Ageless Grace class will take place every Thursday morning at 10am in the Games Room. R 40pp per class. If you are interested, please contact Pat on 083 366 2790. The Ageless Grace exercises focus on the healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotion and spirit. All exercises are practiced sitting in a chair and are movements that are natural and organic.

Forthcoming events:

  *   Our first Canasta club meeting, hosted by Jacky Orton, will be held in the Clubhouse on Monday, 27 January at 3pm to plan the group’s meetings in the future. Canasta is the most traditional and loved card game by all. It is an exciting mix of strategy, luck and skill. Please call reception for additional information.

  *   20-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer will play his first-ever match in Sub-Saharan Africa in Cape Town on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 8 p.m. Federer's opponent will be 18-time Grand Slam Champion and rival Rafael Nadal. The match will be played to support children's education in Africa. Watch this exciting live match in the Clubhouse on Friday, 7 February at 8pm

  *   Village Bring & Braai – Sunday, 9 February at 12h30 – Please join us for lunchtime Bring & Braai at the clubhouse - bring and braai your own meat and drinks. The committee will provide salads, rolls and dessert. R50pp. Please book and pay with reception by Thursday, 6 February.

  *   Evergreen Sundowner Evening will be held on Wednesday, 12 February at 5:30pm in the Clubhouse. Live entertainment, Oldies but Goldies - a trip down memory lane by James and Monique. Drinks & snacks will be served. No charge. Please book with reception on Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 7 February for catering purposes. We look forward to seeing you there!

 Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Tuesday, 28 January 2020.
