        Dear fellow residents,

As we close 2020 we ask ourselves what actually happened this year - well COVID-19 appeared and decided to stay and here we are 10 months later and just about to celebrate Christmas and New Year and now living a frustrated, nervous existence.  Not a very healthy mindset.

Unfortunately, we now have a "variant" strain that is taking its toll and unfortunately and sadly is close by and affecting those in our Village be it a resident or one of their family or close friends and of course, puts others at risk.

As your Chairman and one who cares strongly for all at Evergreen Bergvliet, I would ask you all to stay vigilant, be aware of others and respect their space and adherence to the protocols put in place. If we follow the important aspects i.e. mask up, distancing, sanitizing and washing of hands frequently it will definitely help and as much as we would like to be involved with all our family and friends over the festive season as it is the time of fun, laughter and closeness I ask that you be cautious and try and mix with as few people as possible plus avoiding travelling.

We certainly do not want to go into a further lock down period especially over the summer season but this could happen if we do not look out for each other.  I believe that the Village surrounds are still probably the safest place to be  and whilst keeping  the COVID-19 protocols in place and limiting numbers visiting (6/7) and retaining distancing we should all still be able to enjoy  a peaceful and happy Christmas.
