Dear Fellow Residents,

As we have now reached the half way stage of Lockdown I thought it a good moment to communicate with you all as not easy to get round to everyone by 'phone'.

When the news came out 12 days ago that there was to be a total lockdown in the village it hit very hard. I realised we had a rather steep mountain to climb and some of us would want to fall by the wayside as the thought of confronting 21 days in virtual isolation was appalling. This period would, of course, affect us both emotionally and physically.

Well we are half way up the mountain and still quite a way to climb and then we don't know what is at the top - we may have to climb further and not something we want to confront. These are unusual, terrifying, eerie and alone times and we all react in different ways - some with calmness and acceptance, others with doubt and discomfort but still accept and those with irritability and frustration and not wanting to accept. I can fully understand the different emotions as l go through them all myself.

I sincerely hope, for all of us, the situation will ease and a relaxation of the enforced law will be on the horizon. Management are in communication with the Premiers office hoping to hear some news that will give us some relief but until such time as we hear any news all has to stay the same and I would ask that you adhere to these present laws.

To ALL of you lets pull our shoulders back put on our smiley faces and wait patientty half way up the mountain and just maybe we will get a breather. Let us all work together as ONE in our lovely village.
