What’s happening next week: 16/09/2019 – 22/09/2019

We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Ian McDonald (#18) on 18th September and Jill Newton (#61) on 22nd September.

The choice of meal for the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 17 September in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is either Pork Belly with plum sauce, mustard mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables OR Salmon Fillet with hollandaise sauce, asparagus and baby carrots. This will be followed by Baked orange pudding with custard, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 16 September. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Monday, 16/09         Grilled Chicken strips with cheese sauce, potato wedges and salad of the day
Tuesday, 17/09        Pork and Apple pie with gravy, garlic potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Wednesday, 18/09   Blue Cheese, bacon and caramelized onion quiche with potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 19/09       Chicken Schnitzel with cheese sauce, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Friday, 20/09            Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

Coming up this week:-

  *   Leave your Legacy will be having a presentation in the Clubhouse on Monday, 16 September at 3pm. A presentation on creating memories. Tea will be served.
  *   The next in the series of Evergreen Sundowners’ event features a tribute to Vera Lynn, ‘Hope &Glory’ The Forces Sweetheart and Dame of the British Empire. Lainey Boonzaier and Len Ward will be presenting their show on Wednesday, 18 September at 5:30pm. Please RSVP with Reception on Ext 300 by Monday ,16 September. Drinks and snacks will be served.
  *   Bingo night on Friday, 20 September in the clubhouse at 6pm. Join us for a fun-filled evening. R60pp. Please book for catering purposes as a light meal will be served.

Forthcoming events:
- Ageless Grace will be have a free introductory class on Wednesday, 25 September at 10am in the Clubhouse. The Ageless Grace exercises focus on the healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotion and spirit. All exercises are practiced sitting in a chair and are movements that are natural and organic.
- Evergreen Care Launch - We invite you to join us for a presentation in the Clubhouse on Thursday, 26 September at 11am.  Tea and biscuits will be served. Please RSVP to reception on Ext 300 before 3pm on Wednesday, 25 September for seating and catering purposes. We look forward to answering any queries or questions you may have.
- Italian Themed Evening will be held in the Clubhouse on Friday, 27 September at R165pp. Please book for catering purposes.

Village Housekeeping
- Generator – We will shortly be installing the generator to ensure that our street lights, emergency services and security installations that keep our village safe are not compromised.

Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Heritage Day - Tuesday, 24 September which is a public holiday.
