We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Jill Dower (#32) on 15th September.

Our choice of meal for the Tuesday Social Dinner on Tuesday, 10 September in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of Beef Bourguignon with basmati rice and seasonal vegetable OR Thai Pork Kassler chops with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed with Peach Crumble with ice-cream, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 09 September. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

BISTRO Daily Lunch Specials:
Monday, 09/09         Lemon and Coriander fish cakes with sweet and sour sauce, potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 10/09        Crumbed calamari with tartar sauce, chips and salad of the day
Wednesday, 11/09   Tomato & Chicken casserole with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 12/09       Curried mince pancakes topped with white sauce and cheddar with seasonal vegetables
Friday, 13/09            Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

Coming up this week:-

  *   Grinnell Security Awareness Talk on Monday, 9 September in the Clubhouse. A very good presentation on being more aware of our surrounding. Very helpful information.
  *   A follow-up Fibre Presentation will be held in the Clubhouse on Tuesday, 10 September with Gavin Thompson from VOX.
  *   Are you ready for some fun? Listen closely... Kind2Hearing would like to invite you to our new and fun game event, Listening2Bingo. Get your ears ready and join us on Wednesday, 11 September at 9:30am in the Bistro to find out what it is all about! Bring yourself, your partner, your friends and neighbours - we cannot wait to hear from you!"
  *   The National Sea Rescue Institution will be have having a presentation on Friday, 13 September in the Clubhouse at 10:00am.
  *   Sunday Roast Lunch on Sunday, 15 September at 12:30pm. R180pp. Western Province Catering will be preparing for starters Prawn Cocktail followed by Roasted Lamb served with potatoes and for dessert, Crème Caramel. We kindly request that you book and pay for your lunch by no later than 3pm on Thursday, 12 September with the Bistro on Ext 200. Should you require any further information please contact Sheila on Ext 200. (We are holding the space for Yvonne Whitford until next month)

Forthcoming events:
- The next in the series of Evergreen Sundowners' event features a tribute to Vera Lynn, 'Hope &Glory' The Forces Sweetheart and Dame of the British Empire. Lainey Boonzaier and Len Ward will be presenting their show on Wednesday, 18 September at 5:30pm. Please RSVP with Reception on Ext 300 by Friday, 13 September. Drinks and snacks will be served.
- Bingo night on Friday, 20 September in the clubhouse at 6pm. Join us for a fun-filled evening. Please book for catering purposes as a light meal will be served.
- Leave your Legacy will be having a presentation in the Clubhouse on Monday, 16 September at 3pm. A presentation on creating memories. Tea will be served.
- Ageless Grace will be have a free introductory class on Wednesday, 25 September at 10am in the Clubhouse. The Ageless Grace exercises focus on the healthy longevity of the body, mind, emotion and spirit. All exercises are practiced sitting in a chair and are movements that are natural and organic.
- Italian Themed Evening will be held in the Clubhouse on Friday, 27 September.

Village Housekeeping
- FTTH - We are happy to confirm that the fibre connection project is finally over and that it is now available to all our residents.
- Generator - We will shortly be installing the generator to ensure that our street lights, emergency services and security installations that keep our village safe are not compromised.

Don't forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 24 September.
