We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Theresa Magnus (#24) on 21st November

The choice of meal for the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 19 November in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of either Beef Bourguignon with basmati rice and seasonal vegetable OR Salmon Fillet with hollandaise sauce, asparagus and baby carrots. This will be followed by a choice of either Peppermint Crisp Tart OR Mini Cheese plate with biscuits, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 18 November. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Monday, 18/11         Pork Bangers with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 19/11        Grilled Chicken Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and olives) with Greek dressing
Wednesday, 20/11   Beef Cottage Pie with gravy and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 21/11       Lambs Liver with bacon and onion gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Friday, 22/11            Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

  *   Giltedge International will be having a Viking River Cruise Presentation Thursday, 21 November at 11am in the Clubhouse.
  *   Help us save lives by sponsoring a Pink Rescue Buoy to the National Sea Rescue Institution. The Evergreen Lifestyle Villages would like to raise funds to sponsor a Pink Buoy. The full cost is R1500. If you would like to be part of this fund-raising initiative, please hand your contribution in at reception. Help us save live by sponsoring a Pink Rescue Buoy!
  *   Please join us for a fun day out watching cricket at the Evergreen Lifestyle Cape Veterans T20 match: Rondebosch vs Fish Hoek on Wednesday, 27 November at 4pm. Please book at reception on Ext 300 by Friday, 22 November.

Forthcoming events:

  *   Support the cause! Movember Beer and Braai on Thursday, 28 November at 12pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving boerewors rolls with tomato relish, potato wedges, coleslaw and beers. Remember to book at the Bistro on Ext 200 by Friday, 24 November.
  *   Western Province Catering (WPC) will be hosting a lunch braai on Sunday, 1 December at 12:30pm in the Clubhouse. R180pp. WPC chefs will be firing up the meat and whipping up some delicious “braaikos”, salads and dessert. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Please contact Sheila on Ext 200 to book and pay at the Bistro before Thursday, 28 November.
  *   Movie Night on Saturday, 7 December at 7pm - Eye in the Sky. A UK-based military officer in command of a top secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya. Through remote surveillance and on-the-ground intel, Powell discovers the targets are planning a suicide bombing and the mission escalates from “capture” to “kill”. But as American Pilot Steve Watts is about to engage, a nine-year old girl enters the kill zone.
  *   Market Day & Craft Display – this will be held on the 12th December at the Clubhouse.

Village Housekeeping:

  *   We are in the final stages of our Generator installation. We will be switching off the electricity off from 10am until 11am on Wednesday, 20 November to facilitate this process.

Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Tuesday, 26 November.
