We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Cherie Mortimer (#68) on 15th November

The choice of meal for the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 12 November in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of either Battered Hake with tartar sauce, chips, fresh lemon, Greek salad and dressing OR Pork Belly with plum sauce, mustard mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by a choice of either Baked Chocolate pudding with custard OR Mini Cheese plate with biscuits, tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 11 November. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Monday, 11/11         Beef Bourguignon with rice and seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 12/11        Grilled Chicken, baby spinach and feta wrap with potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Wednesday, 13/11   Bacon, leek and mushroom pie with gravy, garlic potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 14/11       Beef Lasagna with Greek salad and dressing
Friday, 15/11            Premium Meal: Fried Fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

  *   Bingo night on Friday, 15 November in the clubhouse at 6pm. Join us for a fun-filled evening. R60pp. Please book for catering purposes as a light meal will be served.
  *   Traditional Sunday Roast Lamb Lunch on Sunday, 17 November at 12:30 Three course meal at R180pp. Please book by Thursday,14 November.
  *   Please join us in the Bistro for a lovely Mad Hatter themed Ladies’ Brunch to celebrate the beginning of Spring and a little warmer weather. R100pp. Prize for the best dressed. Please book at with Reception on Ext 300 by no later than noon on Monday, 11 November.
  *   Giltedge International will be having a Viking River Cruise Presentation Thursday, 21 November at 11am in the Clubhouse. Please book at reception by Thursday, 14 November.
  *   Help us save lives by sponsoring a Pink Rescue Buoy to the National Sea Rescue Institution. The Evergreen Lifestyle Villages would like to raise funds to sponsor a Pink Buoy. The full cost is R1500. If you would like to be part of this fund-raising initiative, please hand your contribution in at reception. Help us save live by sponsoring a Pink Rescue Buoy!

Forthcoming events:

  *   Market Day & Craft Display – this will be held on the 12th December at the Clubhouse.
  *   The Graduate – As adapted for the stage by Terry Johnson on Thursday, 28 November at 8pm at the Masque Theatre. Tickets are popular so book up front.

Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The next monthly draw will be held at the regular Social dinner on Tuesday, 26 November.

National Day Calendar:

  *   Monday, 11th November is Remembrance/Veterans Days
  *   Tuesday, 12th November is National Happy Hour

Village Housekeeping:
- The Generator is now in place and the preparation for the installation will be happening between Wednesday and Friday.
