We wish a very Happy Birthday on 10th March to Myrle Mawman (Unit 53); 15th  March – Paddy Fordyce (Unit 52).

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 12 March will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving traditional Babotie, yellow rice and sambals OR Roasted Vegetable Lasagne served with garlic bread and garden salad. This will be followed with Fruit salad and cream. R140pp. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 11 March at 12-noon. Please pay for your dinner by lunchtime on Tuesday. You are very welcome to bring your own refreshments.

Sunday Roast Lunch - Kindly book by Thursday afternoon for our monthly Sunday Roast Lunch on 17 March at 12:30 to plan/for catering purposes. Menu - Starter, Roast Lamb & Potatoes/ Seasonal Vegetable plus Dessert/Coffee for R180pp. Call Yvonne Whitford on Ext 114 for more info.

Western Province Catering (WPC)
Our Bistro is picking up and we appreciate the patronage. Residents are enjoying the delicious breakfasts, light meals and toasties every day. We recently introduced a lunchtime special on Monday and Wednesday (see offering below). Please also note that WPC have arranged that prepaid accounts & credit card facilities are available in the Bergvliet Coffee Shop for your convenience.

Lunch Specials – R48.00 pp (Kindly book your lunch special with WPC on Ext 200 by 16h30 the previous day).
Monday, 11 March               Chicken & Mushroom Tagliatelle served with Greek salad
Thursday, 15 March            Lamb Liver with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and pumpkin fritters

Balance & Tone Class – A reminder that the weekly group Balance & Tone class has commenced and will take place every Thursdays at 10am in the Games Room. Classes are R400 p/m. For more information contact Claire on 0832030309.

You are cordially invited to an Evergreen Sundowner social evening in the Clubhouse with guest speaker, Christo Brand who was Nelson Mandela’s warden on Robben Island and Pollsmoor Prison. He will share great stories about their time together. Drinks and snacks will served after the presentation. Please RSVP to reception on Ext 300 for seating and catering purposes. It promises to be a wonderful evening.

External painting - Blackland Painters have now commenced their programme of painting the external walls of houses, carports and fences in the Bergvliet Village as part of our external maintenance programme. Work has started at Unit 1 and will move around to Unit 65 in a chronological order. Pot plants and precious items in your garden and around the house will need to be moved away from the walls in order to facilitate the cleaning/painting. Our Evergreen village team will be assist you with whatever you need. Please call me if you need assistance, have any queries or require any additional information at this stage.

Site Visit - A site-visit and survey of all houses within the village will be undertaken by Biff Lewis Geomatics Inc. between 11 March 2019 and 25 March 2019 from 08:00 to 17:00 on weekdays only. This forms part of our efforts to correctly record all building information within the village. Biff Lewis Geomatics Inc. staff may require access to the unit to ensure that everything is captured properly. In this event, we will contact you to make an appointment.
