We wish a Happy Birthday on 1st March to Myrle Mawman (Unit 53); 4th March – Roger Scheibe (Unit 60)

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 5 March will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving Herby Baked Fish OR Steak & Kidney Pie served with parsley potatoes and and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed with Lemon Meringue Pie. R140pp. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday4 March at 12-noon. Please pay for your dinner by lunchtime on Tuesday. You are very welcome to bring your own refreshments.

“Finding your  Feet” – our Movie Night will be held on Saturday, 2 March at  7pm. When "Lady" Sandra Abbott (Imelda Staunton) discovers that her husband of 40 years is having an affair with her best friend, she seeks refuge in London with her estranged, older sister Bif (Celia Imrie). The two could not be more different - Sandra is a fish out of water next to her outspoken, serial dating, free-spirited sibling. But different is just what Sandra needs at the moment, and she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to a community dance class, where she starts finding her feet.

We are happy to announce that Blackland Painters will commence with the external painting of houses in the Bergvliet Village as part of our external maintenance programme. You may have noticed that a team arrived on site today to set up their “work site” and to prepare themselves for the job at hand. Work will start at Unit 1 and move around to Unit 65 in a chronological order. Pot plants and precious items in your garden and around the house will need to be moved away from the walls in order to facilitate the cleaning/painting. Our Evergreen village team will be able to assist you with whatever you need. I have requested a timeline and will update you as soon as I have the information to hand. Please call me if you have any queries or require any additional information at this stage.

Lastly, a birdie whispered in my ear that there is a high chance of load-shedding this weekend. Please make sure that you are prepared.
