We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Roger Cummins (#20) on 05th August and Trula Human (#45) on 08th August

Our choice of meal for the Tuesday Social Dinner on Tuesday, 06 August in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is a choice of Three Cheese Ravioli with creamy mushroom sauce, topped with parmesan with greek salad and dressing OR Lemon and Fennel grilled hake with citrus cous and seasonal vegetables. This will be followed with Peppermint crisp fridge tart and tea/coffee. R140pp.  Please book before 12-noon on Monday, 05 August. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Payment can be made on account, cash or credit card. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/refreshments.

Monday, 05/08         Chicken, butternut and feta lasagna with seasonal vegetables
Tuesday, 06/08        Chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, potato wedges and seasonal vegetables
Wednesday, 07/08   Lambs liver with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Thursday, 08/08       Beef cottage pie with gravy and seasonal vegetables
Friday, 09/08            Premium Meal: Fried fish with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, chips and salad of the day

Coming up this week:-

  *   Western Province Catering will be hosting an Evergreen Cook-Off at their Taste Kitchen in Cape Town on Tuesday, 6 August 2019.  Team Bergvliet (Paddy Fordyce and Yolanda Bond-Smith) will be displaying their culinary skills. Let’s wish them well in the competition. Please call Reception
  *   Men’s Breakfast will be held in the Bistro on Thursday, 8 August at 9am. Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200.
  *   Women’s Day Morning Tea on Friday, 09 August 2019 at 10am. Variety of eats will be served with tea, coffee and juice. R75pp.
           Bookings can be made with Sheila in the Bistro on Ext 200. Please book by Monday, 05 August.

  *   The Delheim Wine Estate will be hosting a Jazz and Fondues Lunch at 12pm. R350pp for the event and R50pp for transport. Payment require for booking and its non-refundable. Bookings can be made at Reception on Ext 300.

Forthcoming events:
-   Classical Music Evening on Tuesday, 14 August in the clubhouse at 7pm. Hosted Herman Poelmann. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for seating and catering purposes. Salty snacks will be available and you are welcome to bring your own wine and refreshments.
- Giltedge Club Launch presentation will be held in the Clubhouse on Friday, 16 August at 10:30pm.
- Sunday Roast Lunch on Sunday, 18 August at 12pm.

Village Housekeeping
- FTTH – Please note that the paving contractor will be finishing off the last of their trenching work on Monday,5th August .Frogfoot will also be doing work during the course of next week in conjunction with the project. We will update all residents of progress within next week.
- Village Shuttle – our weekly transport shuttle service to shopping centres (Meadow Ridge, Constantia Village and Blue Route as well as medical suites) is working well. Shuttle service is available on Tuesday (9am) and Thursday (1pm). Please book your seat with reception. A R20 nominal fee will be charged per passenger which can be billed direct to your levy account.
- Refuse Collection – Please may we request that no soil or garden rubble in the black bins as the City of Cape Town may refuse to empty these bins.

Don’t forget to buy your Monthly raffle tickets which are available at reception. The monthly draw will be held at the Social Dinner on Tuesday, 30 July.
