We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday!  6th November, Margaret Dry (Unit 63); 7th November, Herman Poelmann (Unit 15)

Our Social Dinner to on Tuesday, 6 November will start at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving Fish & Chips with tartar sauce, a garden salad and dressing OR Steak & Kidney with a puff pastry crust served with and seasonal vegetables followed by Eaton Mess and tea/coffee. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 5 November.

Movie Night will take place on Saturday, 3 November at 7pm. “The Mountain Between Us” - Stranded after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must forge a connection to survive the extreme elements of a remote snow-covered mountain. When they realize help is not coming, they embark on a perilous journey across the wilderness, pushing one another to endure and discovering strength they never thought possible. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Hany Abu-Assad and stars Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Idris Elba. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Please contact Paddy Fordyce on Ext 152 if you are planning to attend, for seating purposes.

Join us for another fun Bingo Night on Friday, 9 November at 6:00pm in the Clubhouse. Cost: R60 per person. Please book with Andréa at reception

Please note that there will be a power outage on Tuesday, 6 November between 9:00am-12:30pm that will only affect Units 41-65 whilst they connect power cables to the new development. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause in advance. In addition, there will be quite a lot of activity with the new house development over the next few weeks whilst they prepare to open up and get ready to handover to our new residents in December/January.  We’ll keep you informed of what is taking place throughout the process.

Forthcoming Events:

  *   The St Luke’s presentation is set to take place on Thursday, 15 November at 10:30am - St Luke’s Combined Hospices provide multi-disciplinary palliative care in the form of nursing, social work and spiritual care. They also provide bereavement care and offer support to families following the death of their loved ones. Our presentation will outline how to access St Luke’s services, what the services include and how to claim for these from your medical aid. Please join us for an informative morning followed by tea/coffee and cake. We look forward to seeing you there.Please confirm attendance for catering purposes with Andréa on Ext 300.
  *   Sunday roast lunch will take place on Sunday, 18 November at 12:30pm. Cost: R165 per person.
  *   Classical Music Evening will take place on Wednesday, 21 November at 7pm. For more information, contact Herman Poelmann on Ext 115.
