We would like to wish Professor de Villiers a very Happy 90th Birthday for Wednesday, 7 March.

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 6 March is at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving a choice of Traditional Fish & Chips served with tartare sauce, garden salad, xxx & fresh lemon OR Sweet & Sour pork & pineapple stir fry with noodles & julienne vegetables. This will be followed by Lemon Meringue Pie and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300. Booking and payment is required by no later than 12pm on Monday, 5th March. Unfortunately, no late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.

A reminder about the Residents Meeting on Thursday, 8 March at 4pm in the clubhouse. All residents are encouraged to attend.

The Water Team from Evergreen will visit the village to place the rainwater tanks in your properties within the next week. We will let everyone know the date of the visit in advance and if you wish to discuss the location of your water tank with the team, they will be on hand to discuss and answer any questions you may have. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Residents have been very mindful of their individual water consumption and I would like to thank you for doing your part in our efforts to stave off Day Zero in Cape Town. The Civils team working on the Barne Road property linked up the pipes/lines of the village on Wednesday and caused our water consumption to “go through the roof” as was reflected on the village reading. We have reported this to the Evergreen Water Team and continue to monitor it on a daily basis and will keep you up to date.

Forthcoming events:


  *   Movie Night will take place on Sunday, 11 March at 7pm.
  *   We are excited to announce that our first Bingo Evening will take place on Wednesday, 14 March.
  *   Our annual Variety Concert will take place on Friday, 16 March.
  *   Sunday Roast Lunch is set to take place on Sunday, 18 March.
