This will be followed by cherry pancakes with cream and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book at reception or call Ext 300. Men’s Breakfast will be held on Thursday, 1st March. Please call Andréa on Ext 300 to book by Tuesday, 27 February. Cost is R65 per person.
Movie Night Saturday, 24 February at 7pm is “Viceroy’s House” - New nations are rarely born in peace... India, 1947: Lord Mountbatten (Hugh Bonneville) is dispatched, along with his wife Edwina (Gillian Anderson), to New Delhi to oversee the country's transition from British rule to independence. Taking his place in the resplendent mansion known as the Viceroy's House, Mountbatten arrives hopeful for a peaceful transference of power. But ending centuries of colonial rule in a country divided by deep religious and cultural differences proves no easy undertaking, setting off a seismic struggle that threatens to tear India apart. Please call Elda Diana-Oliaro on Ext 155 for additional information.
Day Zero has moved from 4th June to 9th July. We would like to thank all residents for taking the water drought seriously and for doing what is necessary to ensure that you only use 50L per person/per day. The next phase of Evergreen’s water action plan set out to residents at the end of January is to install the 1000L slim line water tanks to store potable water. A quick survey was done by Danie van der Merwe on Wednesday, 22 February. He identified possible areas/locations for the tanks to be installed at each house. A plan/installation timetable will be drawn up and these will be communicated to the residents.
Rain is expected this week-end!
Kind regards
