What’s happening next week 11/09/2017 – 17/09/2017

We would like to wish the following residents a very Happy Birthday: 15th – Jill Dower (Unit 32); 18th – Ian Mc Donald (Unit 18).

Don’t forget to join us at the Arts and Crafts Fair tomorrow, Saturday, 09 September. Village Residents will showcase and display their work and there will be a selection of paintings, pottery, sculptures, needle craft as well as hand-made-toys, greeting cards and photography and so much more, all made with love and care.

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 12 September is at 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving a choice of Chicken breasts with bacon & onion stuffing served with Marsala sauce OR Meatballs in goulash sauce served with buttered noodles & seasonal vegetables. Dessert will be Vanilla poached pears with custard & coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book and pay Amanda on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 4 September. No late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.

The Movie night featuring Going in Style, will take place on Saturday, 16 September at 19h00. Three seniors, who are living social security cheque to cheque and even being reduced to eting dog food at times, they decide that they have had enough. So, they plan to rob a bank…problem is, they don’t even know how to handle a gun! You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Please call Elda on Ext 155 if you wish to attend.

The Sunday Roast lunch will take place on Sunday, 17 September at 12h30. Please call Andréa on Ext 300 if you wish to attend

Ian von Memerty’s “A Handful of Keys” is showing at the Theatre on The Bay on SUNDAY 17 September. We would like to make up a group for a matinee show at 3pm. If you would like to join us, please RSVP and pay by no later Monday, 11th September. Tickets cost R90.00. The virtuoso talents in this 2017 edition of the show are Roelof Colyn, a stalwart of the show since 2001 who is beloved by audiences for his effortless charm, dead pan wit and the liquid magic of his playing, and nineteen-year-old James Smith the youngest person ever, to appear in the revue together with a Surprise Guest Artist.

  *   Music night will take place on Wednesday, 20 September. For seating purposes please contact Herman Poelmann on Ext 115.
  *   Quiz evening will take place on Thursday, 21 September at 7pm and promises to be loads of fun! Please contact Andréa on Ext 300 to confirm your attendance for seating purposes.
  *   Our Coffee Break IT Workshop will take place on Monday, 25 September at 10:30pm. Meet Kyle Knight, our technology specialist in the Clubhouse and chat to him about and the benefits of smartphones and anything else you need clarity on.
  *   Our Black & White Themed Dinner will take place on Friday, 29 September at 7pm. Call Andrés on Ext 300 to book.
