We would like to wish Dick van der Ross (Unit 19) a very Happy Birthday on 17th November.

Our Social Dinner on Tuesday, 14 November is at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving a choice of Italian meatballs with tomato and basil sauce served on penne OR Sweet & sour pork served with cashew nuts on noodles,  seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by Chocolate Peppermint ice-cream and chocolate sauce & Coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 and pay by no later than 12pm on Monday, 13 November. No late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.

Tulbach Tourism in partnership with Wittedrift Manor House will be doing a presentation of the historic town and places of interest in this beautiful valley on Wednesday, 15 November at 3:30pm. We will be treated to refreshments - a glass of wine and some delicious snacks after the presentation and everyone is invited to join us. Please RSVP to Andréa by Monday afternoon for catering purposes.

The Boat that Rocked is our movie on Saturday, 18 November at 7pm.   Richard Curtis (of Four Weddings fame) directs this brilliant comedy featuring some of the best pop music ever recorded and an all-star cast led by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Nick Frost, Rhys Ifans and Kenneth Branagh. “Hugely Enjoyable Feelgood Movie -----  it’s 1966 – pop music’s finest era – and a bunch of ramshackle DJs play rock & pop 24 hours a day, broadcasting from Radio Rock, an infamous pirate radio ship in the North Sea. On board arrives 18 year old Carl, who is instantly plunged into a series of hilarious and life-changing adventures and misadventures.  His mother thought the boat would straighten him out – a spectacular mistake! Come and enjoy some dessert to close off the year. Please contact Elda on Ext 155 if you wish to attend

Join us for our Sunday Roast Lunch on 19 November at 12:30pm. Prawn & Salmon starter; Roast Lamb, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables followed by Fresh fruit salad and ice cream, tea/coffee. Alert Possible Water Interruption/Low Pressure: City of Cape Town’ Water and Sanitation Department will shut down the Tygerberg Molteno water pipeline, which feeds water into the Cape Town CBD and surrounding areas. The shutdown will take place on Friday 10 November 2017 for 12 hours, from 22:00. A number of areas will experience low water pressure or reduced water supply during this time. The affected areas include: Cape Town CBD; Cape Town Harbour (Transnet); Lower Woodstock; Maitland; Paarden Eiland;  Green Point and Sea Point may also be affected. The shutdown will take place because we need to assess the condition of the pipeline as we prepare for the Cape Town Harbour emergency desalination plant. Please keep up to 10 litres of drinking water available per day for essential use during this time. Remember to close all taps when not in use to prevent damage/flooding when water supply is restored.
