What’s happening next week 20/03/2017 – 27/03/2017

We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday: 22nd; Kathleen Prowse (Unit 62); 23rd; Colin Osborne (Unit 59); 24th; Brian Ashton (Unit 53).

 Our Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday, 21 March at 6:30pm for 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. As Tuesday is a public holiday, we will only be serving Cape Malay Babotie served with yellow rice and raisins, chutney, bananas and yoghurt with sambals.  This will be followed by homemade Cassata. We kindly request that you book and pay Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 20 March 2017. Unfortunately no late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.  Please make every effort to pay and sign for your meal by Tuesday morning.

We are excited about the turn out we’ve had for the Potluck Luncheon, served every Monday and Wednesday between 12h30 – 14h00. A main course & coffee/tea for R65.00 or if you have a sweet tooth, a main course, dessert & coffee/tea for only R80.00. No booking is required as the meal is offered on a first come, first serve basis each. Last orders placed at 1.30pm. An SMS will be sent out by 10am on the day advising you of the menu or you can call Andréa on Ext 300 to find out what is being served on the day. These meals are also available to take-away and will be charged at an additional R5 for the container.

Our Coffee Break IT Workshop will take place on Wednesday, 22 March at 2:30pm. Meet Kyle Knight, our technology specialist in the Clubhouse and chat to him about will feature WhatsApp and the benefits of smartphones.

Don’t forget that we are looking to make up a group to attend Funny Girl – The Musical, please put your name down on our list at reception or call Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than Monday, 20 March 2017. Once we have an idea of residents who wish to attend, we can make enquiries about bookings and show dates available in April.

Forthcoming Events:

  *   Lucky Draw - R50 buys you three raffle tickets for the monthly lucky draw to be held on Tuesday, 28 March!
  *   The Spanish Themed Evening Dinner will take place on Friday, 31 March at 18h30. Cost is R150 per person. Please book and pay Andréa Ext 300.
