What’s happening next week 10/07/2017 – 16/07/2017

We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday: 9th Yolanda Bond-Smith (Unit 46); 13th Elaine Doyle (Unit 12); 16th Jean van Rhyn (Unit 49).

Our Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday, 11 July at 6:30pm for 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving a choice of Penne served with homemade meatballs and fresh tomato sauce OR Hake & chips served with tartare sauce & lemon minted peas and courgettes. This will be followed by Apple & berry crumble with cream and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book and pay Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 10 July 2017. No late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.

Our Men’s Breakfast will take place on Monday, 10 July at 09h00 in the clubhouse. R60pp. Kindly book and pay Andréa at reception.

A delicious Soup in a Jar will be available every day to take-away. Cost: R50 per jar (serves two). Please call Amanda on Ext 200 to place your order.

Don’t forget our Ladies Brunch on Wednesday, 12 July – we invite all the ladies of the village to attend the brunch in the clubhouse at 11:30am. A delicious selection of eats will be available. Please book with Andréa on Ext 300 for catering purposes. R100 per person. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Guests welcome.

Forthcoming events:

  *   Our Music evening on Wednesday, 19 July will feature Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber with a gala concert: Masterpiece, staged at The Great Hall of the People in Tianneman Square.
  *   Movie night will take place on Saturday, 22 July at 19h00. Please contact Elda on Ext 155 for any additional information and to confirm your attendance for seating purposes.
  *   Our Coffee Break IT Workshop will take place on Monday, 24 July at 10:30pm. Meet Kyle Knight, our technology specialist in the Clubhouse and chat to him about and the benefits of smartphones and anything else you need clarity on.
  *   Xmas in July will take place in the clubhouse on Friday, 28 July – R150 per person.

Just a reminder that we are planning to hold an Arts & Crafts display on Saturday, 9 September. With our newly renovated clubhouse, we can accommodate more tables for residents to display their Art/Craft. Please diarise this date. If you have any questions or you wish to participate in the exhibition, please contact Felicity Walker on Ext 142.
