What’s happening next week 04/12/2017 – 10/12/2017

We would like to wish Ton Weber (Unit 05); Eileen Rickard (Unit 09) & Paddy Oberhofer (Unit 01) a very Happy Birthday.

Our Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday, 05 December is at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We will be serving a choice of Chicken, ricotta & spinach lasagna served with salad & dressing OR Cape Malay pickled fish served with potato salad. This will be followed by Baked Cheesecake & Coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 and pay by no later than 12pm on Monday, 04 December. No late bookings can be accepted and there will be no refund in the event of a no-show.

Our end of year Christmas Bling Dinner will take place on Friday, 08 December. We will be serving Chicken Liver Paté, green peppercorns & sherry served with red onion marmalade & bruchetta as a starter, followed by Honey Glazed Gammon with apple sauce, mustard & onion gravy, roast fillet of beef with horseradish sauce and mustard, roast potatoes, caramelized onions, baked cinnamon pumpkin & minted peas. This will be followed by a delicious dessert. Please book and pay Andréa at reception by Monday, 4 December. Cost: R165 per person.

Evergreen Bergvliet are doing a special gift drive for our designated charity, HOPE HOUSE. We appeal to all residents to buy a small toy for a child between the ages of 0-12 years. Please place your gift in the box provided at reception and be sure to identify the present with a small label, including information on whether it’s for a boy/girl and age. This will make it easier for distribution by “Santa” to the children. We will be handing these over to Hope House via Veronica Lamson, unit 57, by no later than Wednesday, 13 December.

As you all know we currently have a "no gift" policy with regards to our staff at Evergreen Villages. However, as pointed out in the circular sent our earlier, this policy is relaxed over the Christmas period and we accept voluntary contributions to a "Christmas Fund" that will be managed by two members of Mancom and which will be distributed equally amongst the village staff. Please hand in your contributions to Andréa at reception by Monday, 11 December.
