What’s happening next week 10/10/2016 - 16/10/2016

We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday on 13 October, David Gretton (Unit 03); 16 October, Anneke Weber (Unit 05), Chris Newton (Unit 61), Rona Siegfried (Unit 50) and Brenda Stauch (Unit 37).

This week, our Tuesday night social dinner will take place on 11 October at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. We are serving a choice of Chicken Breast stuffed with spinach & feta or Hake Mornay served with seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by Malva pudding & ice-cream and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 12pm on Monday, 10 October 2016.

Our Men’s Only Breakfast is set to take place on Thursday, 13 October at 09h00 and all are welcome.  Come and enjoy a hearty breakfast and coffee.  Please make every effort to attend. and book with Andréa at reception or call Ext 300. For additional information, please call Ton Weber on Ext 105.

The movie on Saturday, 15 October is Fried Green Tomatoes – Evelyn is a middle-aged housewife who is dissatisfied with her life. One day she meets an elderly lady, Mrs Threadgoode, who tells a story of two young women in the 1930’s on a journey through life and love. The friendship of the two girls, Idgie and Ruth inspires Evelyn to improve her life and luck. Played by two Oscar-winning actresses, Kathy bates and Jessica Tandy. Forthcoming Events:
-           Fibre To The Home Workshop, Monday, 17th October at 10h30. For seating purposes, please book with Andréa at reception Ext 300.
-           Ageless Grace is presenting a cutting-edge brain fitness program on Thursday, 20th October at 10h30 based on neuroplasticity that activates all five functions of the brain – analytical, strategic, kinaesthetic learning, memory/recall, creativity and imagination – and it simultaneously addresses all 21 physical skills for lifelong optimal function. This presentation will take place in the clubhouse. For seating purposes, please book with Andréa at reception Ext 300.
-           Please diarise the Halloween theme dinner to be held on Friday, 28th October at 19h00. Booking can be made with reception on Ext 300 no later than Wednesday, 26 October. Table bookings can be arranged.
-           Dealing with Transition & Change presented by Peter Fox in the clubhouse on Monday, 31st October at 10h30. Please book with reception on Ext 300 for catering and seating purposes,.
