What’s happening next week (04/07/16 – 10/7/16)

We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday: 5th July, Geoff Nixon  (Unit 36); 6th July,  John Blackman (Unit 29); ), 7th July, Dawn Osborne (Unit 59) and 9th July, Yolanda Bondsmith (Unit 46).

In addition, we would like to welcome RN Cynthia Jooste to our Village, she replaces RN Adri Venter. Nurse Jooste will be available in the village from Monday, 4th July.

I hope that you have all returned your completed Local Government Voting Forms so that we can finalise our arrangements to get IEC to the village, in order to make it more convenient to place our vote. If you haven’t yet returned the forms, please do so by lunchtime on Monday, 4 July.

Our Tuesday Social Night Dinner to be held on 5 July includes a choice of Bobotie served with yellow rice and seasonal vegetables or Grilled fish with parmesan onion served with savoury rice and seasonal  vegetables followed by Pears in red wine sauce/ice cream.  Please book with Andréa at reception on Ext 300 by 4pm on Monday afternoon. Price R95 per person.

Daily Lunch Specials: These simple meals are priced from R30 – R60 and will also be available to take home. If you do wish to take meals home, may we suggest that you bring your own dishes to the club house. IMPORTANT: We kindly ask that you book with Andréa at reception of Ext 300 by 4pm on the previous day for catering purposes. Meals will only be available for lunch if bookings have been received.
Please also note that we will be doing our month end catering stock take. If you have any of our cutlery or crockery at home, could you please return this by Monday – we seem to be missing a few items.

We offer a self-service Coffee Shop on the weekends. If you feel like watching Wimbledon Tennis in the lounge  – please help yourself to some tea, coffee and cake. A schedule will be left on the counter and we ask that you please enter your details and what you have had and we will prepare an account. This will be put into your cubbyhole and you can settle the outstanding amount in cash at reception on Monday.

Forthcoming Events:

-       Correction - Please diarise the regular monthly Men’s Breakfast to be hosted by Ton Weber (Ext 105) on the Thursday, 14th July and not on the 7th as originally advertised.

-       Take note of our exciting “Colouring-In” workshop to be held on Wednesday, 13 July from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Price of R50.00 per person includes morning tea/muffin and light lunch. It promises to be a lot of fun. We provide the crayons and sheets.

-       Please diarise the Christmas in July dinner to be held on Friday, 29th July at 7pm
