We would like to wish the following residents a Happy Birthday: 26 August, Joan Misplon (Unit 35).

Our Tuesday night social dinner will take place at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse on 23 August and we are pleased to announce that Tony & Liz Bell from the Rambling Rose restaurant have stepped in as our new caterers. Many of you are familiar with this famous duo who serve the most delicious meals at their eatery in Meadowridge centre, Bergvliet. They will maintain the menu as advertised for the next couple of weeks and then we will get our new offering in September. We are serving a choice of either Beef lasagne or Chicken schnitzel and mushroom sauce served with seasonal vegetables. This will be followed by a Baked custard & figs and coffee/tea. We kindly request that you book with Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 4pm on Monday, 22 August.

Please note that the Spring Night at the Opera scheduled for Thursday, 01 September in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm is proving to be very popular. A delightful selection of the most popular arias, duets and choral/orchestral pieces from well-known operas will be presented for an evening to remember. It’s a “Bring and Share” and BYO. Price is R40.00 per person and bookings are essential. Please call Andréa on Ext 300 to reserve your seat.

The Cape Town City Ballet presents the classic “The Sleeping Beauty”  with international guest artists accompanied by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. We have been offered tickets at a special price of R60pp on Saturday, 3 September at 2pm. Book and pay for your tickets at reception with Andréa on Ext 300 by no later than 3pm next Friday, 26 August. Please make your own transport arrangements.

Please diarise the Annual General Meeting which is to be held in the clubhouse on Monday, 5 September at 3pm. The AGM packs have been emailed to residents and we have hard copies available in your pigeon holes for collection.

Just a quick note to say that we raised just under R1000 at the Slipper Day Tea Party for the “Reach for a Dream Foundation” – Well done everyone!
