<p class="MsoNormal">Please be reminded of the procedures that must be followed by all contractors, service providers and maintenance personnel working within the precinct.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">All contractors are required to report to and sign in at the Information Centre upon arrival. They must not proceed directly to any building or work area without first completing the required sign-in and access-control process.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Please note that the Control Room will not grant access to contractors unless prior notification has been received and the necessary arrangements and approvals have been confirmed. This is an important security and safety requirement and
is necessary to ensure that we have an accurate record of all contractors on site at any given time.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We have recently experienced an increase in contractors arriving on site and requesting access to buildings without the Control Room having received prior notification. This creates unnecessary delays and, more importantly, presents challenges
from a security, access-control and emergency-management perspective.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To ensure compliance, please ensure that:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0cm" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">All contractors are notified of their visit and access requirements in advance.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3"><span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">The relevant Building Manager or tenant representative has confirmed and authorised the contractor’s attendance.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors report to the Information Centre upon arrival and complete the required sign-in procedure.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors do not enter any building or restricted area without the appropriate authorisation and access arrangements.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors comply with all applicable health and safety requirements while on site.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors have the required PPE, permits, training and competency documentation where applicable to the work being undertaken.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Any high-risk activities, including hot works, working at heights, confined-space work or electrical work, are properly authorised and managed in accordance with the applicable safety requirements.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors remain within their designated work areas and do not access areas that are not part of their approved scope of work.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3">Contractors sign out at the Information Centre when leaving the precinct.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<p class="MsoNormal">These procedures are particularly important in the event of an emergency, as the sign-in records assist us in accounting for all persons on site and ensuring that appropriate emergency and evacuation procedures can be implemented.<o:p></o:p></p>
