<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">With reference to the subject line, I am sure that you have all heard of the incident that occurred yesterday on the Precinct.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">There are a number of versions of the events that occurred, to clarify the position and prevent further confusion please find the below.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica"><o:p> </o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">At around 11:55 am the suspects entered the Precinct using two vehicles.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">The vehicles stopped in High Street and Crescent Drive respectively.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">The first set of suspects attempted to force the Elegance doorman to open the automatic doors.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">The doorman pushed a remote which triggered a silent alarm as well as released smoke within the premises of Elegance.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">The suspects upon seeing this, returned to their vehicles and proceeded to make their escape out of the Precinct.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">A private security firm gave chase.
<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">Gunfire was exchanged on Atholl<b>
</b>Oaklands Road outside of the Precinct.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">Unfortunately a Security Officer and an innocent bystander were injured during this exchange, and the suspects managed to evade capture.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">Both injured persons were stabilized at the scene and transported to Milpark Hospital.<b><span style="color:red">

<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">We continue to be in touch with the injured parties and get constant updates as to their progress, our thoughts are with them and their loved ones.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i><span style="font-family:Helvetica">Thanks to the rapid reaction of various security companies, SAPS and JMPD, three of the suspects were apprehended later in the day, and the vehicles used in the commission of the crime were recovered.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
